The basics: ⌘ Cmd + T opens a new tab, ⌘ Cmd + W closes it, ⌘ Cmd + Shift + T brings back a tab you closed by mistake, ⌘ Cmd + L jumps to the address bar and ⌘ Cmd + F finds text on the page.
Google notes that some keyboard navigation on a Mac only works when Full Keyboard Access is allowed on your Mac. To move keyboard focus to text boxes or list items, press ⌘ Cmd + F7.

Use tab groups with the keyboard
To reach the menu for a tab group on a Mac, Google’s Use tab groups with your keyboard help says to turn on VoiceOver first. Then press Tab to move to the tabs, and Tab or Shift + Tab to move between them.
Once a tab group header has focus, press Space or Enter to collapse or expand the group. A collapsed group can only be selected as a whole, not tab by tab. To move a tab or group, give it focus and press Ctrl + Left arrow or Ctrl + Right arrow.
